Can people become so broken that truths of how they are being screwed do not “set them free” but instead further demoralize them? Has such a demoralization happened in the United States?

Do some totalitarians actually want us to hear how we have been screwed because they know that humiliating passivity in the face of obvious oppression will demoralize us even further?

blame others, but majority of the USA's citizens are strong and will pursue to keep democracy alive.

6. Generally, the American people are very damaged.

Damaged - When you are afraid of the 'other', whether it's MS-13 or Muslim potential violence or transgender people using the bathroom, but you have nothing to say about white male shooters or sexual assaults being done by cisgender/heterosexual people.

Damaged - When your problem is not with disparities and inequalities being exposed and resisted, but you think the person who is exposing or resisting these disparities and inequalities is just causing trouble.

Damaged - When research and facts are thrown out the windows, when discussions are ended with "Fake News" or "That's your education talking" but then going on to see criminals and charlatans like the Flynn family, Trump family, Shoebat family, John Guandolo, etc. as experts and truth-tellers.
