It was so embarassing, on Morning Joke, when Rep Moulton (D) was asked

who the leader of the Democratic party is and he responded indicating he did not know. Earlier, he said Nancy Pelosi is not the kind of representative that the party needs. That just made the Morning Joke panel's day. Repubs unify even when they know that they shouldn't. We head for the hills with divisive rhetoric. Sick of this s&*%!!

Pelosi's time leadership. Nitpicking what was good and what was bad can be attributed to any one in a leadership position. She will never rise to the evil of the likes of a Mitch McConnell or a Paul Ryan.

What an endorsement. Try finding where she ever "rose" to any evil at all. You can't.

Nancy Pelosi has been tremendously admired by her Democratic congressional colleagues her entire career, and they've repeatedly chosen her for top leadership positions because of her ferocious competence and commitment to advancing Democratic Party goals.

At least the poster you answered, in claiming Pelosi is drunk with power, admitted she has power. You bet -- the power admiring colleagues give her because she's very, very good at using it.

That she isn't speaker of the house right now, instead of Paul Ryan, isn't the fault of her colleagues.
Their plans for what they intended to accomplish this term were killed by foolish voters who allowed themselves to be turned into useful idiots for the right.

But it's a weird thing when people on here attack you for not supporting Dems that bash Pelosi, and others bash you for not supporting all Dems.

'don't support Sanders, he's not a Dem...ok I'll support the guy in Missouri who talks about working with Trump, is anti-Pelosi, and supports concealed carry... Don't support him if he's anti-Pelosi...'

Etc.

Consider that. Secondly, I don't support Sen. Sanders for president because he is not a Democrat, and I think 80 is just to old to run for president. Claire McCaskill is a great Democrat and has voted with us above 90% of the time. She is a moderate Democrat which is what we need in areas like West Virginia and Missouri. All Democrats and need to be supported and not bashed especially on this site. Unless we accept the fact that in red or purple areas, we need to run moderates tailored to their district or state we won't win back Congress...especially the Senate. It is simply not doable. You can look state by state and see for yourself. Support Democrats always and vote Democratic always ... vote in midterms too. There is a decided lack of interest even here among Democrats about midterms...2020 is much more interesting with a presidential run and all, but nothing can get done by any president without a Democratic majority thus midterms are in some ways even more important especially if we lose the presidency. We have the ability to fight back unlike our present circumstance when we control nothing. The Congressman on MJ is a longtime Pelosi hater and not particularly well liked. I would take anything he says with a grain of salt.

because Republican candidates ran against Nancy Pelosi rather than running against their opponents. In Georgia 6 we saw hours of commercials trying to link Jon Ossoff with Nancy Pelosi. I didn't get it at all, but it resonated with the locals.

There are valid arguments with respect to challenging Pelosi for the speaker position, yours is not one of them.

The only option you have left yourself with when it comes to your position is that you want a conservative Republican to be the Democratic house speaker.

There is not one redeeming quality to the argument you put forward.

“I don’t think I’ve seen a more opportunistic, duplicitous person serving in the House,” said a senior Democratic aide, blasting Moulton as somebody who talks bigger than he plays and who pillories Pelosi while almost always voting the same way. “He doesn’t do anything around here,” the aide said. Other members who are more supportive are reluctant to say so publicly—cautious about being seen as “giving him a bear hug,” as one Hill staffer put it, “while he’s knifing the leader.”

I don't vote for dishonorable politicians, but he's obviously trying to appeal to those who don't care about that. He's already ruled out for 2020 as far as I'm concerned.

The women in the pink pussy hats.

The high school kids marching for gun reform

The African Americans speaking out for justice against police brutality.

And every introvert who never spoke out about politics before but felt compelled to become an ACTIVIST because of the horrible things Trump and the GOPer are doing to destroy everything that made America great.

Just because the other party operates on a Cult of Personality with an Authoritarian boss man serving as their party identity, it doesn't mean we need to operate by the same model.

Media talking heads won't be satisfied until a single Dem officeholder is named as the Party Leader, just so they can aim their snipes at him/her and them claim they attack both sides equally.

In reality, we don't need a party leader until 2020, and we'll have one once we choose a POTUS nominee.
