From the start, I have suggested something like a heart attack or stroke due to inadequate medical insurance, but never self-destruction. The one is in character, the other is not. Roseanne Conner is a battler, and will go down fighting for her family, but not able to afford to take the best care of herself.

ABC just has to get rid of her, and "death" of the character is the usual way of making sure someone can't return. I think if everyone is willing they can create a new show without her. I hope they try.

How about ABC NOT do a Roseanne spinoff. Right now, the cast and crew of the Roseanne show can leave with their heads held high: our show got cancelled because the star let her racist flag fly. They can find new work.

The only reason the Deplorables were watching that show was to see Roseanne support Trump. If they do a spinoff no one's going to watch it, and they'll have to try to get new jobs after their last show was cancelled for bad ratings.
