As far as Dan Cathy, Chick-Fil-A CEO, my household is thinking

Of mailing him a stone. In keeping with the statement of Jesus Christ: "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone amongst you."

I guess he and the rest of Chick Fil A are the purest of the pure.

We are also trying to come up with a simple statement to attach to said stone, to the effect that Christ himself never even weighed in on the idea that an alternate lifestyle is a sin. Although some "Christian" websites are stating that we should "read between the lines" - which I find preposterous. In all other matters, the "Christians" want ONLY to recite chapter and verse, with no reading in between the lines allowed.

He'd probably think he was entitled to throw it at some "sinner". Scuba Aug 2012 #1

To look in the mirror, the next time he thought of whom in the world is a sinner needing improvement.

But then, I reconsidered, as I am not sure he'd see his reflection!

or "alternative lifestyle", or "homosexual lifestyle"
that is right wing framing language to try and marginalize and demonize LGBT people
besides, it is so 1980's
it sounds like something Jesse Helms would say
I don't have a lifestyle, I have a life, which mostly seems to be just trying to pay the bills and find a job

A lot of times, by the time I find out what is new and acceptable, it no longer is, and in the end I watch Jon Stewart and he'll say "Lifestyle," so I really don't know.

My vocabulary was formed in the fifties, sixties and seventies, and being considered to use "1980's speak," is for me, a compliment!

I'm not trying to give you a difficult time, I'm just past the point in my lifestyle where I care. I am currently suing the County where I live for the way they abuse the elderly, to which demographic I belong, and that is probably no longer even the right term for me. The "Too many decade-challenged" or something, is how it should be put, I imagine.

I know you were being supportive in your post, I was just trying to give you a heads up.
It is hard for people to be aware of how the corporate owned news frames things and avoid falling into that trap of repeating their frames.
I actually almost wrote "no offense taken" but thought I wasn't being mean. Still it is hard to know since you can't hear the persons tone of voice writing words on a discussion board. Next time I will make myself more clear. Cheers!
