Here is a surprising history of coffee shops and coffee houses few know about. It is a very solid and informative read.

(13,194 posts)People conduct business in coffee shops and have for hundreds of years. Some of that business was the slave trade when that was legal. You might as well blame beer halls for Hitler.

(4,058 posts)I write the vast majority of my blogs. Others invite me to share their postings for maximum exposure of the progressive message. I have permission for all articles written by third parties, many who ask us to publish their stuff.
BTW, my advertising on my site to be able to support broadening the progressive message is much different than all the stories that are promoted here and elsewhere for the USA Today and other publication that use it simply as a business model. It always saddens me that we will accept what the mainstream media is doing with advertising while Progressive bloggers have to beg for an altruistic endeavor.
It may be hard to believe, but I gave up a very successful software business I nurtured because I saw the light that we will not survive as a country under the current model. It won't die in my lifetime but many had to step up. I did. My life is an open book so easy research will show if I am a fraud like many hucksters online or real. Not hard tom figure out my friend.

(4,058 posts)You call my site a commercial website. That is patently unfair. I am a full-time political activist / host / blogger. It would be very profitable to make it a commercial website, believe me, politics does not sell like other sites. But making a change is my commitment and why I gave up my profitable software company. Hey, my life is an open book. The info should not be hard to find.
