... in December, the New York Times released the results of an investigation into the US militarys monitoring of UFO claims and came up with something totally wild. It was a video released by the Pentagon that shows US Navy pilots tracking the movements of a totally unexplainable aircraft.
The report explains in great details how a US Navy aircraft carrier played a strange game of hide and seek with multiple Anomalous Aerial Vehicles (AAVs) that demonstrated flight characteristics that should be downright impossible to pull off.
When the object appeared again a few days later, a pair of F/A-18Fs was directed to check out the strange signals. The result is the now-famous video showing the Tic Tac-shaped UFO cruising along at incredibly high speeds and making rapid changes in altitude ... the object is described as solid white, smooth, with no edges and being uniformly colored with no nacelles, pylons, or wings. The report says the object was estimated to be about 46 feet long. By comparison, the F/A-18 fighters that were trailing it measure around 56 feet long, meaning that whatever it was that the Navy spotted could feasibly hold one or more human-size individuals.
Throughout the several days of seeing the object come and go, the Navy says it may have demonstrated the ability to cloak and disappear to the human eye. Its rapid descent from 60,000 feet to just 50 feet before disappearing also made officials consider the possibility that it was capable of operating underwater, effortlessly moving from the air to the sea at will.

(31,261 posts)They likely have figured out g-force compensation technology and may be able to travel at the speed of light or above, without the effects our scientists have theorized.
This subject is of interest to me because I am an amateur novelist and I have just about completed a novel on aliens and cloaking methods. I should publish it within the month, I am proofing the last chapter and have created the book cover.

(31,261 posts)around you, people, philosophies, religions, right and wrong. A short story will show up before you know it. A short story is 35-70 pages. I have found that my notebook version is about 1/2 to 1/3 of the pages that I get after typing the manuscript into my laptop and completing editing.
The Space novel turned out to be a big life. It is at 350 pages now, with me about 1/3 of the way through the final edit of the key chapter, I expect to end up close to 350 pages and around 84,000 words, and around a year of on and off work on it. I wrote and have published a novel on demons and religion, that one was more philosophical in nature and did not involve the level of research required for the Space novel
I have the concept for my third novel, but won't get to that for a while due to me being buried with work on a clean energy development project. Well, maybe I will write occasionally if the other stuff becomes overwhelming.

(28,123 posts)One Friday evening in 1974 (~) a small ball stadium full of people saw a huge ~500 to 1000' (?)"drone" appear overhead, stay for less than a minute, then totally disappear in an instance. I saw it from the highway close by. My boss and I spotted it and pulled over to watch. Newspaper reported a weather balloon sighting. Yeah, right.
We're not the center of the universe containing all knowledge, and some seem to believe.

(31,261 posts)I would not be surprised if super intelligent aliens have found us. They would likely just observe. Don't understand why they would uncloak so that they can be seen. We should hope that they are peaceful, because if they are not, we are screwed.

(208 posts)that their only interest, purpose and reason for traveling all that way and coming here
is so they can strap us down and shove probes up our asses?
Blue_true
(31,261 posts)enter our star system after traveling in interstellar space, would be most likely hundreds, if not thousands and potentially tens of thousands years more advanced than we are intellectually. I was asked by another poster how they would eat and drink or travel, those questions were dripping with the limits of our own intelligence and may be colored by religious dogma. Traveling a minimum of 19 trillion miles and surviving it is no trivia matter, and beings that can do that likely have intelligence that make us look like bugs in comparison.
The earth travels 584 million miles annually to orbit the sun. To cover 19 trillion miles, the earth would have to complete more that 30,000 complete revolutions around the sun. The enormity of the intelligence of beings that can make that minimum trip would likely would be astounding. I really doubt that they would even need to touch us to completely analyze us, they likely have mastered using every known wavelength of light and radiation in the Cosmos and know exactly what each would do to us when they expose us to those things using their technology.

We have already discovered gravity waves. If we can focus and direct them, all sorts of funky stuff can be done as far as space travel.

(31,261 posts)If it is used along with gravity and magnetism, spacecraft can travel is near the speed of light, or beyond that speed. If aliens are here, if they could communicate with us, they could tell us whether some of our long held laws and theories are correct. Pretty facinating stuff.

(4,516 posts)What do the do for food and shelter.
How are they adapted to our place in the universe.
I think there are no aliens here and that people leave all reason aside when they say they exist.
People who think we are visited by other life forms should be made to answer some various obvious questions.
Blue_true
(31,261 posts)If they developed under a yellow-white sun like we did, in the inhabital zone under that star, they should be used to the same elements and compounds that we are, so survival would be no issue. If they developed under another color star, then some adjustment may be required by them, depending on the zone that they developed under that star.
If they have the ability to cloak, as one military person say they have, then their technological abilities would be substantial, testing our food and/or modifying it to their needs potentially would be a trivia matter for them.
They could come from a number of places in our OWN Galaxy. As a matter of fact they can come from our very own spiral arm of our galaxy (the Orion Arm has a number of stars with earth like planets). The Milky Way Galaxy alone contains something like 400 billion earth like planets (similar chemical makeup, have water). As a matter of fact, the two nearest stars to our star (Proxima A and Proxima B) have about five earth like planets, THREE of which have water and landmass like earth.
The people that think we are in the universe, or even our own Galaxy alone are running out of space and it is only a matter of time before everything they claim is blown to crap.
