If at first you don't succeed, pass it on to someone else?

Is that what Jared Kushner did to Erik Prince?

After all, it was Jared that was busted early on attempting to set up a secret line to Moscow by using the Russian Embassy. As far as we know, it never happened.

But, Erik Prince was busted in the Seychelles, having a meeting with a Russian oligarch. He was attempting to set up a secret line to Moscow, just as Jared had tried. They wanted to build nuclear power plants across the Middle East. And they wanted it done as private business by their friends.

Why did they feel it was so necessary to have a secret line??

Could it be that they have something to hide?
