Guess what: I dont believe a word about Melanias diagnosis and treatment. Not one word. Suddenly in the hospital, a military hospital at that, for a week? I wonder what is really wrong or what happened to her. Not one word these assholes say is the truth why should this be an exception? Im very very suspicious.

(25,558 posts)Not in this case. Everything these serial liars say is our business. They are systematically destroying the Republic and its no time for niceties. IMO of course

for one thing all that was said was she had a kidney problem and no specifics.
The military hospital aspect is curious also.
And of course the fact that these guys lie about everything

(62,444 posts)Let me get this straight.
Did you find it suspicious that Betty Ford was also treated at Bethesda Naval Hospital, which maintains a nine room suite for the president and the president's family?
https://www.nytimes.com/1983/01/26/us/all-the-comforts-of-a-military-hospital.html
The Presidential suite at Bethesda, also off-limits, consists of nine rooms that cover a full floor of the old hospital building. There are bedrooms for the President, the First Lady and a guest, as well as a dining room, kitchen and medical offices.
But she should have gone somewhere else? Really?

What is wrong with positing that we are being lied to? Since it happens continuously with these prevaricators Im well within my rights.

I was responding the suggestion that there was anything odd about the president's wife being treated at a facility which is reserved for the purpose of treating the president and the president's family.
I'm not aware of any presidential spouses post-Ford who required any sort of surgical procedure, nor would I expect that any minor treatments would have been publicized.
But I would not expect any of them to go to an unsecured civilian facility for treatment. That would be just plain dumb.
If you think there is something suspicious about the use of a facility at a military hospital, then identify any presidential family member since Ford who was treated at a civilian one.

(62,444 posts)Nancy Reagan - also treated at a military hospital:

WASHINGTON -- Nancy Reagan was sitting up in her hospital bed, doing breathing exercises and asking questions about the surgery that removed her cancerous left breast in a successful 50-minute operation Saturday, her spokeswoman said Saturday evening.
'She's been back in her room for a few hours. She took a nice long nap. She's been sitting up in her bed ... doing some breathing exercises,' spokeswoman Nancy Crispen said from Bethesda Naval Hospital, where the first lady is expected to remain for five to seven days before returning to the White House.

First Lady Rosalynn Carter was pronounced "just fine" by the White House yesterday after an hour-long gynecological procedure at Bethesda Naval Hospital.

(6,551 posts)Complications can develop from the procedure that she had and recovery sometimes is quite painful.
Past presidents have had medical treatment at Walter Reed.
The only question is whether she had a tumor (benign or cancerous) in her kidney. The procedure is often used to stem the tumor's growth.
