Robert Mueller Is Not Done Following the Money
It's the only thing that’s ever mattered to Donald Trump.

BY CHARLES P. PIERCE
MAY 7, 2018

...Over the weekend, The Washington Post dropped a 200-pound dungbomb on the president* that clarified once and for all why Robert Mueller is chasing the president*’s dubious business practices as well as the campaign’s involvement with Russian ratfcking. From the Post:

In the nine years before he ran for president, Donald Trump's company spent more than $400 million in cash on new properties—including 14 transactions paid for in full, without borrowing from banks—during a buying binge that defied real estate industry practices and Trump's own history as the self-described "King of Debt." …

Trump had access to far more cash than previously known, despite his string of commercial bankruptcies and the Great Recession's hammering of the real estate industry. Why did the "King of Debt," as he has called himself in interviews, turn away from that strategy, defying the real estate wisdom that it's unwise to risk so much of one's own money in a few projects?

That’s one explanation. It’s a dumb one, but it’s an explanation. There are several others, most of them coming from Eric Trump, and none of them make sense, either. But there is an explanation that can cover all the questions arising from this mysterious mid-career course correction in how the president* did business. Perhaps someone–or several someones–needed to wash some money. A possible reason that Mueller’s people are looking into this kind of maneuvering is that they suspect the Trump Organization was laundering money for the kind of people who need their money laundered. A possible reason for the president*’s having gone bouncing off the wall recently concerning the Mueller probe is that the president* thinks Mueller’s after that, too.

That is why you’re hearing so much about how Mueller is exceeding his mandate. But, should the speculation be correct, Mueller absolutely has the duty to look and see if the relationship between the president* and various Russian oligarchs began with a business transaction prior to the obvious political transaction in 2016. It was always going to be the money. That’s the only thing that’s ever mattered to the man.

Hiding Assets from the Bankruptcy Referee via moving cash and other hard assets to a shell companies. Daisy Chaining Shell companies is nothing new. Especially using Foreign Shell Companies.

Remember,Trump loaded his Cacino's to the Max with debt, both borrowed money and a Stock issue that he cashed out a few days before it went to zero.

Follow the money.

pulled off one of these type of deals. Our Bargaining Unit filed Liens and Levees on dozens of Shell Companies that were set up to Mine the Assets and dump the trash in Bankruptcy Court. On a hunch,we had our Legal Beagle check a certain LLC set up in Caribbean, and that happened because of someone doing a Island day trip while on a Cruise. Just happened to spot a sign on the front of a non nondescript office building on one of the Islands he visited. This Name Plate was one of many near the entrance.

Hey,it took our Guy ten years to the date,to recover several millions owed our Pension Fund as well as repayment of funds used to pay members Health and Welfare Insurance that members had to pay in order to stratify claims .

With some luck following the money paid off. BTW,the so called Corporate Front Man and his Spouse did do Federal Prison time in Florida. Hiding Assets from the Bankruptcy Court.

the moron's attorneys mention money laundering so a lot of people are thinking that the omission was purposeful. They may not need him to testify about his financial, real estate practices because all of that info is easily proven with documents. There is a ton of info to go through for this group of Mueller's attorneys that are focusing on this crime. They have to get info from a lot of other countries and that is not easy.

I wonder why Jared almost sold his soul to get loans to purchase his 666 property right before the real estate market collapsed? Why didn't he just launder money like his Daddy in law? We know he has made nefarious deals since then and he has no problem being involved in financial crimes.

It's a Confederacy of Dunces

an epigram from Jonathan Swift's essay, Thoughts on Various Subjects, Moral and Diverting: "When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him."

The genius in this case would be none other than Barack Obama. Trump has sworn revenge against him ten times over and is turning himself inside out in the effort, including trashing his brand and the country in the process.

He is a giant racist and an egomaniac. That is why I doubt he would never resign. They will have to take him dragging and kicking the whole way out of the W House since he can never admit he made an error or isn't the best person and leader in the world since the dawn of man.

How's that go?

Nobody likes me,
Everybody hates me,
Guess I'll go eat worms.

Short, fat, juicy ones,

It is difficult Following The Money when multi-national billionaires are involved on three continents. There are many numbered companies hiding assets and cash flows. Much of it is done to avoid taxation and to avoid money laundering laws.

Nunes toadies in the House did not dare Follow The Money, only because they knew where it would lead.

The Many Hustles of Michael Cohen

...
Cohen’s business dealings have spanned big-city taxis and real estate in addition to a legal practice focused on personal injury cases. A new examination of Cohen’s record by the New York Times finds that he has frequently crossed paths with unsavory characters. In one case, Cohen was reportedly tasked with delivering a payment to one Vitaly Buslaev, who has been tied to the Mafia. That’s just one of Cohen’s many connections to individuals from former Soviet states. Those connections are of particular relevance given special counsel Robert Mueller’s focus on the Trump campaign’s dealings with Russia, and Cohen’s personal role in exploring Trump Organization deals in Russia in the midst of the 2016 campaign.

Cohen also helped set up a half-dozen clinics and medical billing companies in the early 2000s, including registering medical practices headed by doctors Alexsander Martirosov and Zhanna Kanevsky. Just a few years later, Martisorov and Kanevsky were charged with defrauding insurance companies by faking auto accidents. Cohen was not implicated in those allegations, and charges against Martirosov were later dropped. But according to the Times, the scam was of a kind dominated by criminal organizations from former Soviet countries.

There was some fierce opposition, particularly since it would be located right smack in the middle of a residential area and the license was eventually denied, but the timing is interesting nonetheless.

And then there is that most bizarre of his virtual developments, Trump Tower Philadelphia, which is actually being financed and developed by an obscure Lower Manhattan firm; the man who calls himself the “spokesman” and “a principal of the company” refuses to explain exactly how he became involved with Donald Trump and calls the day after our interview demanding that his name be removed from this story, even though, it turns out, his name is an alias.

- Eric Trump 2014

“So when I got in the cart with Eric,” Dodson says, “as we were setting off, I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks—because of the recession, the Great Recession—have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years.’ And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’ Now that was three years ago, so it was pretty interesting.”
