I kept waiting for someone to post about this but never saw it.
It is wrong on so many levels but it really shows how this class of Republican leaders have absolutely no idea what regular people think.

"My favorite meat is hot dog meat, by the way. That is my favorite meat," he told supporters during a recent dinner organized by his Utah Senate Campaign, according to the Washington Examiner.
"My second favorite meat is hamburger. And, everyone says, 'Oh don't you prefer steak?' It's like, I know steaks are great, but I like hot dog best, and I like hamburger best next."
I know next to Trump this actually sounds normal but "hot dog meat", really?
While we all like hot dogs at the ball park because it is part of the experience, you eat hot dogs because they are quick and or cheap or both quick and cheap. You can pile mustard, relish and onions all around the hot dog and there is something in that experience but if people are not vegetarians and they are picking out their favorite meat without any considerations of cost or time no one is going to pick a hot dog over a well prepared choice steak.
Its like Romney thinks "these people are dumb, how do I talk like them?"
We need a new word that expresses cringeworthy X cringeworthy. What is beyond cringeworthy?

(146,333 posts)Cheap, crappy hot dogs, I don't eat. But, good sausages are works of culinary art, and I prefer them to steak. I'm lucky enough to live in an area where there are many sausage makers. I don't buy national brand-name hot dog, brats or any other kind of sausage. Instead, I buy sausages from butchers and small companies who still make them with care and concern for the ingredients in them.
It's been at least a year since I ate a steak. I just don't prefer a slab o' meat, really.
BTW, if you're in Minneapolis, head for Kramarczuk's in the Northeast area of the city. They make some really super sausages with an eastern European touch. Yum!
