Anyone else notice that the gas price rise ate up most of the tax cut?

for us poor and middle class. Gas now cost @ $5 more a week eating up all of that $1.50 a week tax cut.

Thanks Trump, Ryan and McConnell. And a special thanks to Iowa's republican loons - Grassley, Ernst, Blum, King and Young!

Not even enough to buy a solitary gallon of gasoline here. Was $3.85/gallon yesterday and I cannot afford to go anywhere!

The "increase" (COLA) all went to Medicare, all of it. My two-bit pension went up just a bit over $2.00/month but the other employees that are retired that were CEO level retirees got 5%!

Feed the rich and starve the poor!

of course, it is just a dream. This is the first increase I've gotten since I started drawing on my social security funds, but hey; I am grateful that I have this. I can't imagine my life without it.

You earned it and so did I. Maybe it wasn't exactly how I had planned things to work out but we wouldn't get a cent had we not paid OUR FAIR SHARE into Social Security!

Enjoy your life as a retired person. You earned it, every cent of it and YOU deserve it and a hell of a lot more, especially if you are a woman!

I don't buy much food, don't live in a rural area, don't own a home. I'm poor but I know how to follow the steps and jump through the hoops to get what I need.
There's nothing I can do about the price of gas so there's no point in getting wound up about it.

....when the price of gas goes up, we notice it immediately. When you have to pay $10 a week more, it can make a big difference sometimes.
