Tornado Watch and Flood Warning. for KCMO.

Storms are just the other side of Topeka now.

I think they are mostly worried about heavy rain.

I am worried about my neighbor's tree. It is a soft maple and branches break and come down over my power line. He won't have it trimmed.

I guess I'd better enjoy it for the next hour or so.

I live near KCHO and had to scroll back and reread your title.

I have a maple behind the house. The shade is lovely, but its roots have played havoc with the sewer pipes and sidewalk. It drops limbs on the house from time to time.

Great place for rot, great place for limbs to split off.

Could be worse, though - could be Bradford Pears.

Thanks for the heads up! Tonight, I could only make it to the Petro in Oak Grove and I have shut down for the night! The clouds are getting pretty dark too!

The line of storms seems to be taking the old “Tonganoxie split”.

Storm line seems to be weakening into a rain blob. Pretty scary clouds in the Independence area right now, though.
