2018 - I have heard that some Republicans are running as Democrats...

I say NO!

Your party sucks, you cannot come and hijack the Dems!

Citizens beware - Voters beware - Democratic Party beware

They need to run as an independent or something, but NOT as a Democrat.

I'm just saying, and wanted to say it here.

In local, State and National elections, republican'ts who can't win running as republican'ts will run as Democrats. They are known as, DINOs, (Democrats In Name Only).

Many claim to be; Moderate Democrats. There is nothing "moderate" about them.

It is important every check the records and positions of candidates before voting for them.

Also, be sure you know who the judges are that you will have the chance to vote for.

I seem to remember recently there is a Governor that did this.

There are some that stay with the Dem title and vote republican.

Especially in states that do not have partisan voter registration.

Even in states that do, there are party switchers. Primaries should filter these guys out.

As the GOP drifted ever further to the right, you saw people that in the past might have been "rockefeller republicans" become democrats. It's roughly speaking where the whole DLC thing sprang. I've been saying for years that we need those people to go back to the GOP and rip it away from the tea party freaks. We need a sane GOP for our 2 party system to work. Our government doesn't work if our political arguments are between democrats and the mentally unhinged.

...and by that I mean confident in the fact that the powers that be within our party, and the ones that hold the purse strings would turn back efforts by anyone trying to do this rather than embracing them and throwing money at them because they think it wins us seats and benefits us in the long run.

Look at what has happened in NY state where a group of "Indepedent Democrats" did just that, won their seats and then voted for Republicans to be in charge of the state house.

And where I might add the "Democratic" governor just shurgged his shoulders and said "Oh well, what can I do about it?"

But unfortunately I am not an overly confident person and I'm sure the DCCC is already lining up with bags of money and endorsements to throw at these clowns.

Hating tRump and his misadministration is not enough, he is still an R. I have enjoyed listening to Painter on MSNBC, at least he is an honest broker. But down deep, he is still an R, he was W's ethics lawyer.

It shows that the party has shifted so far to the right that old time republicans are comfortable running as today's democrats. The democratic party needs to shift left, not right.

on edit: Obama is just an icon for the democratic party in this cartoon. The party has been doing this since Reagan.

It took me a minute of looking at the cartoon to understand.
Then the light-bulb went on. I get it!
