Sort of like " I am Spartacus" moment in reverse. It also goes with the thought it is too consequential. Why would someone pay a million plus to keep it quiet then just come out with it and have the same two-bit lawyer as Trump to take care of it. Too many things do not add up in the whole situation. Like, let me write the narrative so you know what and how to believe kind-of-thing. Damage control no doubt

probably Trump’s abortion. I am betting that is a cover story. They have gone to extra lengths to cover for Trump on this because she got pregnant AND there was an abortion. There are just too many inconsistencies and it fits Trump’s pattern.
According to reports the model in question is Playboy model Shera Bechard.
She was a blond playboy model and she was a former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner.
Trump was known to spend a lot of time at the Playboy mansion.

Trump brought Apprentice contestants to the Playboy mansion. In this video we can seen Karen McDougal at the mansion when Trump arrives. He later reportedly had an affair with McDougal.

According to an Apprentice contestant, who was taken to the Playboy mansion as a prize for winning:
“Toward the end of the evening, I found myself in a small circle, conversing with Trump, Hefner and another contestant. With a wry smile, Trump looked at Hefner and said, ‘It’s hard for me to tell which of these girls are yours and which ones are mine.’”
According to the author Michael Wolfe “Trump liked to say that one of the things that made life worth living was getting your friends’ wives into bed”.

In 2015, Hefner hailed Trump’s candidacy for President. But then in 2016, he soured on Trump. According to Newsweek:
“The Trump-Hefner relationship soured….Hefner’s son, Cooper Hefner, in an August interview with Hollywood Reporter, spoke about his feelings regarding Trump.“We don’t respect the guy,” Cooper said of Trump and his presidency.
There is recent video from 2017 of Tom Arnold talking about Hugh Hefner. According to Arnold, he was good friends with Hefner and Trump was a frequent visitor of the Playboy Mansion. He then makes a comment that Trump RECENTLY had two girlfriends that were Playmates.

He was always certainly good to me…and to Donald Trump. I’m not kidding at all. Well Donald had… two of his girlfriends were Playmates. Recently. I’m not even kidding on that either.”
There is a very grainy poor quality video which reportedly shows Trump at the Playboy Mansion in 2015 and I believe it shows Shera Bechard near him.
Shera Bechard was using the same lawyer that both Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal were using for their NDA settlements with Trump.

In the NDA with Shera Bechard, Cohen used the same pseudonyms (David Dennison) that he used in the Trump-Daniels NDA.
Cohen used the same Delaware limited-liability company “Essential Consultants LLC” to pay Bechard that he used to pay Stormy Daniels. Broidy paid the money into the account of Cohen’s company.
Cohen effectively had only one client – Donald Trump. So why would Cohen now suddenly be representing Broidy in this matter unless it in some way directly involved Trump?

According to Broidy’s own statement, he only hired Cohen supposedly AFTER he was told that Shera Bechard was using a lawyer that Cohen knew.
“Mr. Cohen reached out to me after being contacted by this woman’s attorney, Keith Davidson,” Broidy said in his statement. “Although I had not previously hired Mr. Cohen, I retained Mr. Cohen after he informed me about his prior relationship with Mr. Davidson.”

So how did Shera Bechard get introduced to the same lawyer as Stormy Daniels and McDougal? Makes no sense.
According to sources the contract explicitly did not address paternity or even proof of who was the father. Why would you agree to pay $1.6 million and then explicitly exclude any proof of paternity?

Ms. Bechard claimed that she became pregnant and that Mr. Broidy was the father, but the contract states that matters relating to the alleged pregnancy and paternity of the alleged child are excluded from the claims resolved in the agreement, the person familiar with the matter said. Ms. Bechard declined to provide proof that she was pregnant with Mr. Broidy’s child, the contract says, according to the person familiar with the matter.

Elliott Broidy has a track of paying large sums of money to gain influence. In 2009…
Elliott Broidy, a California venture capitalist, pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges that he helped his company land a lucrative deal with New York’s public pension fund by giving nearly $1 million worth of illegal gifts to state officials.
He also has a track record of faking a contract in order to hide a payment to government officials
Another state official, prosecutors said, was rewarded indirectly by Mr. Broidy when his relative was given a fake consulting contract worth more than $380,000.

It is reported that Cohen took out a home equity loan in order to finance the payment to Stormy Daniels. If indeed Cohen was negotiating to pay off Shera Bechard, then in all likelihood he would have been unable to raise that kind of money himself. So this is where Broidy comes in. And Broidy had a very strong motive for doing this for Cohen/Trump – As reported, Broidy was selling his influence/access to the President to Nader and the UAE for huge sums of money.
Mr. Nader tempted the fund-raiser, Mr. Broidy, with the prospect of more than $1 billion in contracts for his private security company, Circinus, and he helped deliver deals worth more than $200 million with the United Arab Emirates. He also flattered Mr. Broidy about “how well you handle Chairman,” a reference to Mr. Trump…
Recent reports also make clear Broidy was actively attempting to use his influence with Trump to have him play golf with Malaysian PM who was caught up in massive corruption scandal.
A deal of this nature – paying for Trump’s mistress/abortion and providing cover – would act as perfect leverage. It would be a great investment.

And really, are we expected to believe that a celebrity obsessed Playboy model would have an ongoing affair with the anonymous (and quite overweight and unattractive) Republican donor Elliot Broidy? Really?
And for motive: this scandal had the potential to do Trump far more damage than many of the past scandals. Stormy Daniels was written off by evangelical Christians because it was a long time ago and he is a changed man now. If it’s revealed he was having an affair recently, during the campaign, AND he paid the woman to have an abortion, it leaves no room for evangelicals to hide. Even for the most flexible evangelicals, that becomes basically impossible to justify. And I think Trump knows this. The evangelical Christian base is the foundation/glue of his Presidency. Without it, he’s finished. And Broidy is a big Republican money guy and expert money launderer. I am betting Cohen knew he had to find big money to pay her so he went to Broidy for help.
Time will tell.

EDIT: Another update: I just re-read the statement from Shera Bechard that was release via her lawyer
“Ms. Bechard is deeply distressed that someone has revealed information about her and Elliott Broidy. She had no intention to publicly disclose this painful information and asks for respect for his privacy at this difficult time.” I could be reading too much into this but that appears to be very carefully worded in terms of the connection between Bechard and Broidy.

But, it would be very enlightening to see how Evangelicals can still embrace trump if he is proven to have paid a woman to get an abortion. I do not doubt that they will find a way.
