It will be forgotten in a couple of days. The news cycle rolls ever onward, bringing us a new scandal every day.

But yes, I am a recovering prude and I think we need to rally around Wolf today. She made me laugh and she slayed some bullies.

(2,078 posts)That critique still holds. Today after a rethink however, why the hell not. Fuck it. It falls far short of the perfection of Colberts performance, hell it wasn't even clever. Kinda blunt and unpolished. This is supposed to be a professional comedian, so I expected better than what I or the guy down the street could come up with. Oh well, now i'm thinking, fuck them. As a performance by a professional comedian, lame or not creative enough. As a stick poker, fuck it.
Two three 'jokes' though still bug me.
1. The abortion joke. Um, strange. Just ugly and strange. Is that kind of thinking common?
2. Chappaquiddick - Murder?..okay. Lazy reference because there is a movie out is all I can think of.
3.Russian threats to our electoral, information, and cyber systems are real and genuine. They cannot be overstated, imo.
Still, yes, this all will be forgotten by Wednesday.
