But the president of the united states is that every single fucking day in person and on twitter. Its a fucking real life nightmare!! Not a comedy skit.

(1,216 posts)using f-bombs every other sentence, in the adult comedy lounge, and it was hilarious coming from a 60 something black woman. I did not hear any boo's from the largely white crowd. Actually she got many laughs. So women can be crass without a problem.

(36,223 posts)Mostly the f bombs for the setting were not appropriate. The jokes about womens physical appearance were off the mark.
Yet there is so much danger with the real crass ass that sits in the oval and his lying defenders causing real damage to millions. I just cant get all worked up about it.

In fact I think it is the opposite.

(115,797 posts)Standing on a stage and dropping F-bombs and making fun of a woman's looks and accusing Ted Kennedy of murder wasn't funny. Stephen Colbert was able to skewer Bush brilliantly and hilariously without being gross and crude - this mess wasn't even close. Just saying mean things about people I don't like doesn't impress me.

(115,797 posts)that it was supposed to be. If it wasn't funny, why call it a comedy skit, unless it was a comedy skit that bombed?

(14,249 posts)Some of it just wasnt funny, some of it was mean and petty, some was unnecessarily raunchy - I watched it with my parents who kept asking, What dis she say? and I wasnt about to repeat it.
But whenever she landed, she stuck it.

(92 posts)The current American mentality requires blunt instruments. Also, Mitch McConnell does need a neck circumcision.
Seems jokes are funny as long as they don't offend anyone. I didn't find any of her jokes inappropriate. Language, maybe for network TV. But that just furthers my contention that Americans are prissy, privileged brats for the most part. Her manner is more suited to a club or, well, an HBO special. If you look at British or French TV they don't allow language, even nudity, to restrict their right to free speech.
Sometimes we have to say the ugly, unpopular things to make people pay attention. Look at all the attention she's getting, and what for what and who she is. A dark skinned woman who's loud and confident.

(1,474 posts)is the job of every sane American. Michelle Wolf did it her way. I do it my way and am as vulgar or worse. She did great. And as misogynistic as trump is, it will get to him. There is no difference in her profanity and any of ours. Except she had a television audience. I liked what she said, how she said it, and loved Sander's reaction. Michelle, I applaud you!

(267 posts)Any one of those crude comments could have been a Trump tweet. I think she's being a mirror. Why should Sanders and Conway be offended being spoken of in the same way their boss talks about other women? Trump uses gutter talk all the time, and the media serves it to the masses.

Wolf is a comedian not the Press Secretary. It makes sense if she tells us to get a sense of humor.
