While some didn't like her or she was mean. Yeah don't care if she annihilated Sanders or Conway, both deserve the ridicule for the crap they've done.

(81,389 posts)Sometimes it was hard to say which was funnier - her jokes or the reaction shots of Kellyanne CONway and Sarah HB. Hey, if you don't want to be made fun of as a non-stop congenital liar in public, then all you really have to do is simply STOP LYING ALL THE TIME!!! I have very little sympathy for self-inflicted wounds.

(3,438 posts)to me wild... perched on her racist fake evangelical christian pedestal. Huckabee-sanders presence ruined the event. She mimicks her bosses' vitriol and demeanor--which I surmise was the point. Who the hell invited her? I know, I know she went in t rumpf's stead..since he's a chicken-shite coward.
Michelle Wolf pulverized everyone including Mr racist sexual-predator himself and his lovely lying press secretary ms pride&pearls (Huckabee-Sanders.)...she is a comedic genius.

While the majority of shots were aimed at the current administration, Wolf did a good job in skewering Achilles heels across the Beltway, including media. I've always found the WHCD to be a self-congratulatory circle jerk and the chumminess between these journalists and politicos is sometimes unsettling.

Her foul-mouth monologue was done in jest. However, the pResident uses foul language in everyday speech. He makes fun of people and name call, daily. Where are all the whiny ass tweets from the media then?
Isn't it ironic that the media, before the event were saying that the pResident is incapable of laughing at himself, and now they are the ones whining and complaining about being roasted?

(530 posts)Michelle Wolf did a fantastic job, IMO. Her comments about the media loving Trump are spot on. All those feigning outrage, whatever their party affiliation, need look no further than the behavior of the person occupying the WH - not to mention his minions - to find more abhorrent actions that actually have a negative physical effect on real people. Give me a break, you pathetic whiners. It took a strong moral constitution to stand up there and say what we have all been thinking for the past few years. Kudos, Michelle!

(2,850 posts)Being a pathological liar is not an alternative perspective on reality. She called Sanders, Conway and Hannity out for being liars and that needs to happen more often. Lies are lies and liars are liars. Having a white house that lies more often than it tells the truth isn't normal or acceptable.
A few of her jokes were on the petty side, but they weren't even the "mean" ones. It seems mean when she talks about Sanders being a pathological liar or says "ladies cover your drinks - Fox News is here" but those aren't actually cheap shots. Those are jokes that don't gloss over the ways that disgusting people are disgusting. The people who got it the worst at the dinner got it because the are disgusting and deserved it.

(43,244 posts)Offensive? Yes, for sure. Look at the faces on the crowd. But more than anything else she was a caricature of the Trump administration, its policies, agenda, demeanor. She threw back exactly what it has put out. It will make those attending very uncomfortable indeed. They should look at themselves, how they have enabled, how far the US has fallen, and what a trashing of decorum, procedure, precedent, and mores looks like. She rubbed them as raw as Trump has rubbed America.
