Joy-Ann Reid's apology must be accepted as we learn this lesson from it

Once again a homophobic blog post attributed to Joy-Ann Reid has surfaced. She apologized quickly for the ones in the past. The new ones, she initially blamed on a hack. After much investigation, that claim may wholly or partially fall apart. This episode should be a learning experience we should all take dearly and here is why.

and some of them have been vitriolic, something I'm noticing more and more here in DU. Some "discussions" have gone on and on to the point of being beyond ridiculous. The same thing happened with the Starbucks incident and the gym incident. Some people just seem to need to go on forever, not for the sake of explaining or clarifying their point, but just for the sake of arguing. And sometimes I can't even tell what their point is, probably because there isn't one.

By now I just want to yell WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT? and see what happens.

Instead, I just skip on to the next thread.

in right now is what is important. Millions of people have had a shift in mindset between that time and today.
