While many people are not considering the 2020 presidential elections yet, the candidates are certainly positioning themselves to challenge for the Democratic nomination.
I hope people see the process and decide to make an effort to get to know the candidates early.
With so many candidates running, you might decide to commit to get on-board with a campaign early and see if you can help your first-choice candidate win.

(10,887 posts)I really think demographics are important to drive a huge turnout.
We must have a woman and/or an African American or Hispanic on the ticket.
I expect the Repub ticket to be Rubio/Haley in 2020.

(508 posts)It looks like we will have plenty of time to see if your guesses become reality.
That is the thing with politics that I enjoy. There are so many variables to assess. How will the Democrats hold up debating each other and how will they do against the "vast right-wing conspiracy", (VRWC).
The VWRC will go after every Democrat who runs. There should be no doubt about that. Being able to fight against them is just as important as having good ideas the American people want to see accomplished.

(508 posts)By any chance, did you happen to notice the title of this thread?
Did you happen to watch the video clip?
Clearly, the candidates are already focusing on the 2020 primaries.
Do you have anything worthwhile to contribute that would be on topic?
I am not seeing threads up about the 2018 elections.
You, and anyone else who can't see past the 2018 elections, are perfectly free to start your own threads.

(508 posts)There is a lot of talk on DU about how being divisive does harm to our chances to win.
Got anything positive to add to the conversation?

(11,949 posts)As hopefully would you. But not the primary.
I do not know who I am for because I do not know who is running.
