Price Increases Coming in May.

On March 23rd, a tariff was imposed on imported steel and aluminum. The air conditioning industry is already feeling the impacts, and price increases for new systems will start in May.

2. Most people aren't ready to get a new AC.

So many units go on credit cards. People try to keep them limping for fifteen plus years. Then boom, compressor motor goes out or a difficult leak in the air handler shows up. Then the credit card comes out.

Clearly things are not this absolute. It's pretty close in my world. I oversaw the instillation of thirty or so units last year.

These costs will not be absorbed by my investors. They will be passed down. Just as the currently rising property taxes are being. The lower income scales are really getting hurt from all angles right now.

I'm hearing that alot of stuff will be increase 30% or more.
