Trump: Democratic senator who ran oversight on Jackson will have a "big price to pay"

President Trump says Sen. Jon Tester — who led the congressional oversight on Dr. Ronny Jackson’s now-failed nomination to lead the VA — should have a “big price to pay in Montana.”

Tester is up for re-election in a state the President won by more than 20 points in 2016. The senator was the most public critic of Jackson, including interviews with CNN and NPR.

“I think this is going to cause him a lot of problems in his state,” Trump said on Fox News Thursday morning.

Earlier this week, Tester said Jackson was known as "the candy man" inside the White House, citing reports from individuals who raised concerns about his nomination.

No one knows Jackson or cares about him. They won't remember him in November. Meanwhile, Trump will do 1000 horrible things between now and then.

Is the only one that matters. It doesn’t matter if his idea of very best is liars
Crooks and frauds. And pill pushers, great way to make friends by the way, if I had easy access to opiates I’d have lots of friends too. He is a bad loser, and lashes out at those who beat him. Now he wants to push his nominations through faster. I guess we won’t get a real vetting till after they are in place, now. And what happens with the next president: will she / he just appoint people? No vetting, no clearances needed? sign through wide-reaching decisions by proclaimtion? We need an overhaul on the hill, the prez is invested with too much power, Congress won’t do their job. And it seems they spend all their time raising money, and the oligarchs make and break the laws. What happened to “of the people, by the people and for the people”? I despair.

Sen. Tester is well known in Montana for his undying support of our Veterans. Many of those Veterans are Repubs, but if 45 uses this against Tester, we will see some voters switching just to keep Tester in office.

and he seemed just plain mad during his interview. Mad that the nomination had gone this far, mad that Jackson wasn’t properly vetted by the admin, mad on behalf of veterans. The GOPer party of personal responsibility will attempt to blame this on Tester as if he bought drinks for Jackson himself. Get ready for a shit storm in Big Sky Country.

The good Senator took a stand. He's a westerner, aka the "old" Virginian.

I will be donating to his campaign, from afar. Within my budget constraints.

Here of late, his (mr drumpf) actions are consistent with a foreign operative. Should be registered with FARA.

And there were plenty of Republicans whom were concerned as well and were holding off on the nomination.

And Jackson withdrew his nomination

But, hey, if that is a hill that some Republican in Montana wants to die on............
