(4,512 posts)Fios has the best product. Worst customer service ever though.
Charter Spectrum's product is a throw back to the '80's.
Meh, to Comcast.
Time Warner sucks.

(68,632 posts)TV portion...this was before they gave it to me for free...retention called and lowered it...next month they raised it again this time I left until they offered it for the same price as the internet which is free...check every month so far no issues. There are great streaming options out there...I like both Sling and Playstation Vue...but there are others. I get Direct TV now free with my cell phone...which I like because you can use it anywhere...and hubs can use it in the new house.

(20,586 posts)their customer support is good, they have monthly free previews of channels on higher tiers, and their price is less than our horrible local cable company.

(4,492 posts)They suck. However, I only use one of their big 3 services (internet). NEver had a landline and cut the TV cord.

(1,443 posts)why would I want to pay to watch endless commercials, of which there are far too many on cable and satellite. having a commercial break every five minutes destroys the enjoyment of any show I'm watching.

(38,322 posts)Our television plays DVDs and standard resolution Netflix. That's all it does.
I once made an antenna that got quite a few broadcast stations but it hasn't been connected for many years now.
An inexpensive medium speed DSL connection serves us well.
I find older DVDs in thrift stores and we sometimes rent newer titles from RedBox.
My wife and I frequently download books so we're more likely to be reading than watching television anyways.
Free books from Project Gutenberg could probably amuse me for the rest of my life, so I don't really feel deprived without cable.
