cool it..

(269,219 posts)It's a rare day I watch any part of her program - she is an avid supporter of the war criminal Bush and his goons.

(58,785 posts)you don't get on TV. There are a whole set of rules still in place for badmouthing Hillary, which lead to Nicole's almost signature, "Oh, is Comey being meeean to poor HIllary?" whenever that subject came up for months. She's been forced to step back from that one, but not from delivered bias.
The evening faces have more freedom, though not enough -- they also report on congress but almost never mention the dark-money people in the background who decide whether Repubs will be reelected or replaced. But the daytime people are kept on firm leashes on important subjects.
And Democrats are one of those Hillary-type subject. Anyone who imagines that because she's not a candidate the massive negative reporting on us has gone away is deluded. She was always a delivery system for what continues. Watch for the next time we're discussed without negative comments. If anything that might be considered positive is mentioned, the comment should overbalance with negative connotations.

(53,410 posts)To be honest I dont watch Nicole Wallace. She hates Trump, which is nice but she actually gets all soft and doe eyed over the Bush family and people like Avenatti. She oozes her love for the Bush family, which is fine if youre an unsophisticated young girl but not very appealing for an adult acquainted for decades with the DC swamp.
Its not very convincing and she doesnt offer enough for me to overlook that heartthrob thing she pushes.
Or maybe it reminds me of the kind of thing us old time feminists hated about the way women are expected to act in a field that has historically been a stronghold for men. Smile, act sweet, use a soft voice, bla, bla, bla and well let you into our circle. She always makes me think of that.

(58,785 posts)Back in the '80s when I worked in insurance, I'd still see women with college degrees in good white collar jobs do a tilt-head-and-smile-prettily as they offered an apologetic explanation/request that they'd be away from the office for an hour, as if they were 1950s file clerks who needed permission. I can see why Wallace reminds you of that.
Another one here who never said, "I'm not a feminist, but..." I was.

In my opinion, Nicolle is very watchable.

(8,438 posts)She's right wing republican hack, regardless of her distaste for Trump. Same goes with Ana Navarro, Bill Kristol, etc...

(10,844 posts)Nicolle does seem to enjoy having Avenatti on her show. And come on, he's not hard to look at and has more than a little confident charisma. Girls just want to have fun!
That being said, I actually enjoy the show, often coming away with a reverse deja vu sense of what a 180 a lot of these Republicans have made in their No, Never Trump position.
Which at this moment in time is quite okay with me.
As for Avenatti? He's easy on the eyes and his obvious distaste of all things Trumpster makes him even more attractive. Just saying.

(9,973 posts)...I did not detect any sexual attraction. I think she's just happy with his success in going after Trump. I watch her show... then come back for Ari Melber after an hour. They give a good indication of how Trump's day is going... down, I hope!

(31,464 posts)She'll be sucking up to Mike Pence once Trump is removed. It's not hard to hate on Trump, but once the tide turns she'll hop right back onboard the GOP boat. Along with Steve Schmidt and the rest of 'em. They're just milking an easy payday.

(32,886 posts)I think the whole Palin fiasco opened their eyes as to how incompetent the GOP are at governing and picking people to govern. Unless the GOP goes back to nominating Eisenhower types, I think these two are lost to that party for good.

(10,844 posts)irritating as hell. I don't know why he bothers inviting guests on the show because he never lets them answer anything without interrupting. And then, adds nothing of consequence.
My husband and I go back and forth:
"Did you hear that Chris wrote a book about Bobby Kennedy?"
"Really," I'll answer. "I didn't know that."
And then we laugh because Matthews has only mentioned the book a bazillion times.
Pretty useless anymore.
