NARRATIVE
The Women’s March on the Pentagon campaign cares about planet Earth and recognizes the damage that war inflicts on her. This Earth Day, it is our goal to draw attention to the glaring absence of the subject of war from all environmental advocacy.

BACKGROUND
There is one single issue that should be the single most important to all of humanity. That issue is the health of our planet. What will healthcare, jobs, education, and freedom matter if our planet crumbles under the weight of a species that does not consider its health and wellbeing?

While both the United States and the world as a whole are dotted with environmental organizations comprised of thousands upon thousands of people who truly care for the planet's health and their effect on it, the single biggest factor harming our planet today is largely ignored. The subject of war and all it entails is rarely acknowledged by the large, powerful environmental groups like Greenpeace, Sierra Club and the Environmental Defense Fund.

Believe it or not, the U.S. Military is the world's largest polluter.

From jet fuel spills to actual combat, from training to aircraft that constantly fills the skies, from research to development and drills to destruction, it is terribly puzzling that so few consider the damage the U.S. military does to our planet, air and precious waterways.

The damage inflicted on our planet thanks to war is mind-numbing and it is increasing by the minute.

We can protest pipelines all we want, bring reusable bags to the grocery store, drive fuel efficient vehicles and take our lunch to work in glass containers, but as long as the U.S. war machine is given a free pass to continue wreaking havoc on the planet, any gains we make as individuals will do little to improve the overall outlook for the future of life on Earth.

It is our goal to shine a light on the constant damage the U.S. war machine inflicts on planet Earth.
It is our goal to bring this issue to the forefront of the environmental justice movement.
It is our goal to stop the U.S. war machine and save our planet.
