(102,289 posts)for saying this and other loose predictions--they get under Trump's (and Cohen's) skin and that is a great trolling tactic for him.
He's not a political prognosticator. He's saying this largely to help his own case.

(22,006 posts)predicted indictments to come out last week). At least that's the way I interpret.

(10,572 posts)"Appearing on Anderson Cooper 360 Wednesday night, the attorney for adult film star and alleged Trump paramour Stormy Daniels claimed he knows "for a fact" that more raids are on the horizon for people in the president's inner circle. He predicted that they'll take place "within the next week."
"Anderson, I will tell you, these raids that occurred on Monday, they're not the last raids. I know that for a fact," Michael Avenatti said. There are other raids that are contemplated. I anticipate them coming within the next week."

(6,916 posts)Arbitration clauses should not be allowed; they give power to big corporations and take it from average people. Even if he was merely fighting the arbitration clause, he would be helping America.
Instead he's going after a wanna-be autocrat and criminal who is trying to destroy America to sell it off to American and foreign oligarchs. I'm on Avenatti's side. You should be too.

(58,724 posts)He is trying to maximize PR for himself and for his client.
It is a side-show from the real, substantive issues related to the Trump administration that serious news organizations ought to spend more time covering.

We should all be behind him.

(6,916 posts)As should we all. It's obvious.
Adam Davidson has been doing investigative work on Trump/GOP/Russia for years. He knows lots of stuff we don't. Here's what he has to say:

However, I am unaware of anybody who has taken a serious look at Trumps business who doesnt believe that there is a high likelihood of rampant criminality.

The narrative that will become widely understood is that Donald Trump did not sit atop a global empire. He was not an intuitive genius and tough guy who created billions of dollars of wealth through fearlessness. He had a small, sad global operation, mostly run by his two oldest children and Michael Cohen, a lousy lawyer who barely keeps up the pretenses of lawyering and who now faces an avalanche of charges, from taxicab-backed bank fraud to money laundering and campaign-finance violations. Cohen, Donald, Jr., and Ivanka monetized their willingness to sign contracts with people rejected by all sensible partners.

It seems inevitable that much will be made public. We dont know when. We dont know the precise path the next few months will take. There will be resistance and denial and counterattacks. But it seems likely that, when we look back on this week, we will see it as a turning point. We are now in the end stages of the Trump Presidency.

(37,428 posts)...in any way related to a case s/he's pursuing. Avenatti has teased us and brought up irrelevancies. He's good at it, and frankly, he's got the easiest target ever in the most hilariously, horrendously, ineptly corrupt president in living memory...but unless and until he's got specifics to share, he's just working the crowd.
