Have you verified your voter registration? I moved in March

and mailed in a new voter registration. Hadn't received any verification back in the mail, so I just went on-line and discovered that I am now registered to vote in my new county of residence.

I live in NC and I verified my voter registration by going to the NC Board of Elections on-line and filling out my name in the voter search page. There I was!
Told me where my new polling place is for the May 8th primary, too.

If you have recently moved--or are planning to move before the fall election-- make sure to re-register to vote and then check to see that your registration has been received.

There are too many questionable practices both at the state and local level related to removing voters to not verify your status each election.

Online registration to the rescue. Easy. You can check registration online. Where I live, you can request a ballot and vote by mail. I know it’s not like this everywhere, but no excuse to not vote here. And this is a red state.

Alaska is pretty easy, we have both Motor Voter and PFD (Permanent Fund Dividend) that do automatic registration; card is mailed. You can also IF YOU HAVE STATE ID or DL, register by fax, email or online.

I also really like our state Voter Information pages - clear and not all that concise, cuz hey, lawyers - but if you are a volunteer to assist in registration, even someone in remote areas that are ESL! can be a blast! Some villages seem standoffish, but heck if everyone doesn't warm up to a cooler full of Pepsi and iced coffees, and it's like fish in a barrel - ALL folks eligible sign up (not all vote, but hey...)
