Santorum Says He Prayed For Perry During Debate

(January 2, 2012)--Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said he prayed for rival candidate Rick Perry during a recent debate.

The former Pennsylvania senator said it happened several weeks after Texas Gov. Rick Perry pledged to eliminate three Cabinet departments, but could only name only two of them.

In the subsequent debate, Perry said President Barack Obama had three options when an American drone crashed in Iran.

Santorum says he quickly bowed his head and prayed that Perry wouldn't "do it again."
