Good grief, CSPAN was airing "Road to the White House 2020" a couple of days

As if we are not sick of perpetual campaigning. In the early Church it was discussed whether to elect the pope for four years and it was decided that this would lead to perpetual electioneering and they decided on pope-for-life (no pun intended). No, I'm not suggesting that (as if my suggestions had any power). Mexico has a single six-years' term, just saying that others chose other options and ours aren't divinely right. As for making institutional changes, HAH, empires have to rot from within until something replaces them.

Publicly funded campaigns would fix most of this by reducing the profit factor for the networks. CrispyQ Apr 2018 #1

I would still advocate for clearly defined campaign periods that are significantly shorter, though!

Not looking forward to hearing that obnoxious superhero music MSNBC always play during every presidential election cycle. I may just have to rip my ears off.

When I was at the Convention in 2012, I would easily tell who was maneuvering for a Primary campaign in 2016.
