DeWine Tells TV Stations Not To Air Taylor's Attack Ad

WOSU

With a little over three weeks until the primary, the Republican candidates for governor and their supporters are spending millions on advertising. The mostly-negative ad war is heating up, but one candidate is dispatching lawyers to try and stop it.

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor’s campaign just released a new ad building on a commercial from last month that critiqued Attorney General Mike DeWine for his voting record. Taylor ties DeWine’s record in the U.S. Senate with those of Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

“Mike DeWine voted with Hillary Clinton 962 times,” says the ad. “Amnesty for millions of illegals. Wasteful spending that put America trillions in debt. Gun control that trampled on the Second Amendment.”

From the guy who posted "lock her up" about her opponent...why do I have this feeling an endorsement after the Primary won't be forthcoming?

Suffice to say that if what you're looking for in a candidate is a high Right-Wing-Nut-Job quotient, DeWine's record is, IIRC, pretty unassailable.

BTW, WHEN was this so-called 'amnesty for millions of 'illegals', again? I feel like the last federal amnesty program was passed well before early 1995 when DeWine took his Senate seat, but maybe I'm forgetting. Someone refresh my memory of when the last 'amnesty' was?

OTOH, a state Attorney General basically ordering the TV stations in the State he has jurisdiction over NOT to run his opponents political ads seems a little ... what's the word I'm looking for ... oh yeah ... FUCKING FASCIST.

So there's that.

It's a 'can you top this' for who is the most conservative while painting the other as a liberal.

And of course who has their head more up the orange shithead's ass.

If this is the best the Grand Old (Tea) Party has to offer I feel very good about flipping the Governors mansion.
