SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) KELO.com News has obtained a recording of Republican Congressional candidate Neal Tapio where he suggests that an Islamic terrorist attack on the United States prior to the June South Dakota primary could assist his candida
In the recording, he says, And then all that has to happen is that there will be one more terrorist attack between now and then and I will be the, just by the Trump effect, I will be the candidate. Thats the way I look at it.
Before writing this story, KELO.com News asked Tapio about the provenience of the tape, whether it was taken out of context, and any other reaction he might have. Rather than responding directly to KELO.com News, Tapio posted his replyand the audioto his Facebook campaign page Saturday afternoon.
In his response on Facebook, Tapio said. First, I would like to thank the person who secretly recorded a private conversation with me and sent it to the press. Tapio also noted, Where the hell do you think this hateful and deadly ideology comes from? Does it come simply by accident? Or from a few extremists who misinterpret the true Islam?

First, how does one take ""I hope there's a terrorist attack, that would sure help me win" out of context?
Then the bloodless bastard gets pissy that he got caught, and accuses the one who reported him of being the asshole. Only a Republican...

Why do republicans always benefit from a terrorist attack regardless of who is POTUS.
If a Democratic POTUS is in office, then the narrative is they didnt keep us safe, how could he let this happen, he is so weak
But when in it is a Republican POTUS, the narrative is good thing that he is charge and not a Democrat, hell keep us safe because he is so strong, we have to rally together and stand with him. Respect the troops, your either with us or with the terrorist.

(7,220 posts)Doesn't matter what the facts are. 9/11 happened on Republican watch. Still, R's used the ensuing fear to their advantage.
Scared people make stupid decisions. Old people tend to be most fearful, and not surprisingly Republican

(24,445 posts)but it doesn't explain how Democrats are treated differently when bad stuff happens. Clinton got crucified early in his term for "Black Hawk Down" in Somalia, which lead to the resignation of his first Defense Secretary and President Obama (and Hillary Clinton) were crucified over Benghazi(!).
