twice! I love meatballs, (my dad's), I teach Sunday school at the church for the kids that can't sit still (and so I don't have to listen to that boring shit), and I totally kick ass at corn-hole! I beat my son all the time!
Pompeo said all of this except the bit about boring shit, and he didn't say "totally kick ass." Almost word for word.
Compare this to Hillary and John Kerry! It's like they're interviewing a manager at the local mini-mart for the position of Secretary of State after the caliber of statespeople we've recently had!

(10,177 posts)Ron Johnson (R-WI) one of the dumbest people to ever serve in the Senate. He's worth listening to for the entertainment factor alone.

(24,446 posts)This "fluff" stuff is outrageous when talking about putting somebody (already in charge of the CIA) in charge of the State Department. Lo how our once proud country has fallen........

The Obama's classed up the joint for 8 years, but we're sliding back to coarseness and commoness again.

(24,446 posts)We had a solid 8 years of competence in the WH under Clinton, traded down for 8 years of incompetence under Bush II, 8 years of competence and peace under Obama, and now we've REALLY traded down under Trump, mostly in part because no sane person even wants to be associated with Trump (and probably knows that they're possibly even subjecting themselves to criminal liability with him). This insanity needs to stop! People in this country need to get a clue that Republicans hate and have attacked "the government" so much they simply have lost the ability to GOVERN at all, let alone competently and stop electing them to government positions.

(10,177 posts)he has in place in the line of succession, beginning with Pence, that makes it practically unfeasible to impeach Trump. Surely done by design with no regard for our country. What a mess we're in.

(24,446 posts)Enough of the population screwed us all over in November 2016. I still can't get over it. I feel pretty much like I did when Bush II got elected but worse (and I thought it couldn't get any worse than that). I thought that we all learned our lesson after Bush II. Apparently not.

(10,177 posts)a small number of eligible voters actually voting for him. Definitely not the majority of Americans. And here we are.
I think it's shameful that people don't pay attention to what's happening in their own country and don't vote. And when I was canvassing door to door for Hillary, I ran into a more than a few people who said they didn't vote and weren't interested. And I'm in a politically engaged town. I'm sure it's much worse elsewhere.
On a positive note, I am so very excited with the youth movement today! Having come of age in 1966, they feel like the real deal to me and with that is hope.
