Short-lived White House press secretary Anthony Scaramucci reportedly got an earful from the president when he implored him on Easter Sunday to end his war with the press.
And if I were sitting with the president right now, and he disagrees with me, because I talked to him on Easter Sunday, and he was yelling at me, which is fine, but I think hes got to end the war on the media, Scaramucci told SiriusXM host Dean Obedeillah when interviewed for his eponymous radio.
The Mooch went on to say that Trump should make peace by going onto CNN and MSNBC and that he shouldnt be painted into a corner of conservative news media.
Get him out there, hes got to explain his agenda to the moderates, hes got to explain his agenda to the independents, and hell win reelection resoundingly, Scaramucci said.

(3,169 posts)Trump doesn't believe in anything except himself. If he thinks something will make him look good, he supports it. He has no agenda!

(5,272 posts)He has shifted so far to the extreme right to retain the evangelical/racist/nationalistic support that I can't see him having any success trying to fool moderates again as he did in 2016 when he promised better health care for everyone etc.

(16,423 posts)In 2012, after Obama's reelection, the Republicans made a study to find out how to come back. Their conclusion?
It was not that people didn't vote republican because they didn't like republican ideas. (Who in his right mind could dislike republican ideas?)
No, the real reason people didn't vote republican is that the Republicans failed to properly explain their ideas.
See, some voters are simply too stupid to understand how great republican ideas really are. If only they got explained to them, these voters would all flock to the GOP.
And the Mooch uses the same argument: The problem is not Trump's agenda. The problem is that people don't understand it.
Oh btw, the same study said that Republicans need to court more voter-segments than just white males. But they promptly ignored that one.
