I reported a trump supporter on twitter for writing abusive tweets aimed at Emma and David Hogg.
Got a update notification from twitter, informing me, the account I reported had violated twitter rules and
the account has been terminated!
One at a time!

(206,187 posts)I generally don't run into them - I even have Trump himself blocked, see more than enough of him on the news - but I did report a similar one on behalf of a friend - and I heard back that I was the seventh one to report them.

(34,110 posts)I betcha a dollar that not only is the account not terminated, but that the offensive tweets are still there.
Virtually all of mine come back with that report - and not a single one has even had the offensive tweets deleted.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

Twitter started enforcing new abuse policies Monday by suspending accounts that violate the terms.
The policies do not apply to government accounts.
That means even though Trump has technically violated Twitter's abuse policies in the past, he is exempt from the new rules.
Twitter began enforcing new rules to combat abuse on its platform Monday in a widespread attempt to fix the toxic atmosphere in some of the darker corners of the service.
One of the first casualties of the new policy was Britain First, an anti-Islam group.
If Britain First sounds familiar, that's because it's the same account President Donald Trump retweeted anti-Muslim videos from Britain First a few weeks ago.
