The "SDNY" is the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
It is a federal court.
This was a federal warrant, issued by a federal court, at the behest of a federal AG.

If the NY Attorney General brings charges, then trump can not pardon state law cases. I am betting that the NY AG is aware of what is going on in this case
