****BREAKING**** FBI RAIDS OFFICE OF TRUMP LAWYER MICHAEL COHEN

The F.B.I. on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to a pornographic-film actress.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, according to Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” said Stephen Ryan, his lawyer. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

Getting a search warrant is not the most difficult thing in the world, but if you are trying to get a search warrant for records of the attorney of one of your subjects, then most judges are going to want to see more than "we think we'll find something".

This is not a garden variety warrant.

Yuge.

Just getting an ordinary subpoena against a lawyer is a big deal. A freaking no-knock seizure warrant? Yuge.

This is NOT over a $130k campaign donation. No way.

When I started out, I was surprised the first couple of times.

You'd be amazed to learn that there are some people who just don't seem to like lawyers.

He said CA doesn't like to issue concealed carry permits so they slow walk the process.

The Ray Donovan hashtag is a bit much. He's a killer.

Or maybe he's somebody else not getting along with a wife these days . . .

But, still, what of consequence would be kept in a hotel room kept as a "late night at the office" backup.

Domestic issues? Hmmmm... seems like a normal family man....
