Can we all admit that the first Syrian strike was no more than a fire works display

Trump called Putin to give him a heads up on the cruise missile attack in Syria. Putin undoubtedly tipped off the Syrians and that's why there were very few casualties and very little damage. As it turned out, it was no more than an expensive "fire works display".

If Trump really wants to send a message to Syria, bomb the fucking palace. That's a message they will understand. Either that, or do nothing. But please, please, no more bullshit fire works displays with Putin getting an invite in order to prove you're some kind of though guy to the rest of us, while Assad and Putin laugh their asses off.

I do think it’s possible that he can stumble backwards into the best answer for an issue, but I doubt that he ever intends to do so.
