When I get in the fast lane it slows to a crawl.
When I get in the shortest line at the market, it becomes the slowest lane.
I loved Dennis Kucinich.
I loved John Edwards.
I loved Bernie.
But why would anyone listen to me? I have an uncanny knack for the reverse Midas touch...

(2,951 posts)I donated to all three candidates. I just wish Bernie would stay in his own lane. He is not a Dem and he is hurting what is left of the Dem party.
If anyone has a problem about my Bernie feelings, keep it to yourself. I will not engage. I supported him in the primaries, but soon saw how toxic he was & regretted my vote.

(21,946 posts)is so bad, I got into a lane with only one person ahead of me. The old girl wanted to pay for her groceries with a check and the younger person that was with her (probably to help her) had already gone to the car. Well, it took her forever to write the check, then she didn't have any i.d. with her after looking in her purse for about 10 minutes. No one went out to get the person who had left to help out.
I waited patiently because that could be me one day.<G> But I finally had to switch lanes cause it looked like they would never get the problem resolved any time soon.

(14,624 posts)I'll be sure to do the exact opposite of what you advise.
All kidding aside, I worked for a guy a long time ago who freely admitted that everything he invested in promptly turned to shit. If he invested in property, the market tanked. If he invested in stocks, the market tanked. I started paying attention to his investments. Worked out pretty well for me.
