Probably low, Putin's Clinton-Sanders animosity campaign still seems to be paying dividends. TheBlackAdder Apr 2018 #1
It has to be Putin's fault? Who did you blame before he came to power? yurbud Apr 2018 #8
For the PUMAs against Obama? No one. But Putin was playing both Dem camps against the middle. TheBlackAdder Apr 2018 #13

it isn't bashing Bernie OR Biden to point out they both would be in their mid to late 80's Exotica Apr 2018 #9

But as a soon to be old person, I think I have some leeway.

We don't need another old guy in the WH.

And whether you agree with him or not, he is a polarizing figure, one the Russians and the Republicans (but I repeat myself) took advantage of in 2016. Time to move on.

Same applies to Joe Biden, though he's polarizing for different reasons.

No, I don't have any ideas for candidates right now.

by the end of 2 terms. I would like to see some new blood run, hopefully someone who isn't more than 3 and half times my current age in their 2nd term.

I guess he meant to say there will be no reasonable discussion of Bernie Sanders on DU.

He is a polarizing figure. That’s no longer an opinion. It’s a fact, and it has to be the starting point of any discussion of a Sanders run.

I was a Bernie supporter until Hillary was nominated. I don’t agree with him on everything, but I like much of what he says. And he’s a New Englander, which is a point in his favor.

But he has baggage. A lot of it. And he’s too old. I know that may be inappropriate but, like the polarization issue, it’s a fact.

To the rest, he really isn't

It's not 'polarizing' to talk with everyday people about Medicare For All or raising the minimum wage

How many Democrats are "establishment" Democrats?

As for your last line if that were all that Bernie Sanders were known for I'd agree with you, but that doesn't seem accurate.

That said, Sanders has done a number of great things and a few less than great things.

Experience is great but so is inspiration and energy. Which is why Obama/Biden worked out so well as a winning team.

Elderly people vote no matter what. We need younger people to vote.
