How does Trump get the calculation that markets have gone up 42% since he took

office?

Do you have to add up all the different indexes?

On Jan 25, 2017, the Dow was at 20,028. On Friday. April 6, 2018, it closed at 23,932. This equates to a 19% increase.

2. He pulled it out of his butt. The same way he claimed a trade deficit with Canada.

The same place he gets all his bullshit statistics from. He knows his base is too lazy and stupid to look them up or even question them so he thinks he can get away with it.

Thereby taking credit for stuff that happened before he took office, and avoiding the blame for the selloff in the last few months.

Since "it" won the election in 2016, "it" is claiming 2016 as well. Since it went up around the same 19% that year, then 1.19*1.19 is 1.416. Or 41.6%.

Given that had "it" simply invested that huge inheritance in the market and then done nothing but live like royalty and used a private jet to fly from golf course to golf course (and actually paid for the golf at other people's courses) "it" would have been worth approximately 2x what was advertised. (And i don't even believe that number.)

So knowing how investing works is clearly not in the skillset.

7. He did fumble a bit when he said it - first 40% then said 42% - bet you are right. Isn't

truly amazing that he is throwing SO many balls up in the air that we (everyone) is letting him get away with it. What can we do? He knows.. he just doesn't face the press so he can say anything.

And, he's got the perfect pawn with Huckabee. she's got it down to an art..criticize for repeated questions (they didn't answer first time ! )...give a clipped and flippant answer and immediately turn head toward someone else.

It's the same one that tells Trump that if he shows assets of $8 billion and debts of $12 billion, that he is worth $20 billion.
