Mike Allen: We cant overstate the severity of President Trumps buyers remorse from signing last months spending bill. It could even be a turning point in his presidency, on the issue of immigration and his level of cooperation with Republican leaders.
Sources whove discussed it with Trump say it freaked him out to see the array of usually friendly faces on Fox News opinion shows Pete Hegseth, Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, et al. ripping into him for signing a bill that spent a ton of money, but gave lots away to liberal priorities and did little for his signature promise to build a wall.
Truth is that Trump had little clue what was in the largest spending bill ever passed.

(3,438 posts)...was not present at signing of bill. Claiming he didn't know what he signed, wanted to undo. Know -nothing trumpf has the entire federal apparatus to read, research, analyze, summarize, brief him on anything, everything in the world, yet he refuses to utilize--only to later claim ignorance.
Trumpd is a know nothing about anything, really. Its as if trumpf and repubs have resurrected the know nothing party.

.... a political party (American party or Know-Nothing party) prominent from 1853 to 1856, whose aim was to keep control of the government in the hands of native-born citizens: so called because members originally professed ignorance of the party's activities.
.....the Know-Nothing Party. ... They were called Know-Nothings because members of the party were told to say 'I know nothing' when asked about it. They were also called 'nativists' because they believed that foreign-born Americans should not be allowed to hold government posts.
