(NOT) Sorry to burst your bubble mr. potus---Poll: Trump approval drops to record low

President Trump's approval rating hit a record low in March, a new poll finds.

Morning Consult's 50-state approval tracker finds 41 percent of registered voters approved of Trump's job performance during March.

A majority, 54 percent, disapproved of the president's job performance.

The data from March surpasses the president's previous lows in the Morning Consult poll. In October and November, 42 percent of respondents approved of Trump's job performance and 53 percent disapproved.

It is a small dip from his February numbers, when 43 percent of respondents approved of the job he was doing in the White House and 52 percent disapproved.

Saw it right here in GenDisc. These are both a long way from RaTmussen's 50+%.

Low approval never got anyone kicked out of elective office before an election. 2020 is a long way away. 2018 might be interesting for Congress, but I wouldn't count on anything.

"What does it matter?"

To gauge public opinion, and from that, measure the public's views regarding a particular topic or series of topics to better develop effective tactics on the local, state and federal levels.

I don't think anyone is arguing that polls ever get anyone kicked out of office however-- that appears to be an allegation only you brought up.
