I served 6 Presidents, 3 Rs & 3Ds. I directly supported Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama. While I didn't agree with all their policy choices, I admired and respected all of them, as they put country above their personal interests. Not so with you, as your self adoration is disgraceful

(9,865 posts)..at all as putting country before self. His popularity was flagging and he wanted to be a "War President" to save it all. One of the worst, most tragic, never ending bungles of foreign policiy ever, instigated by Haliburton/Cheney and okayed by Daddy-do-you-approve-me-now-George.

(1,202 posts)...I think you may have hit on something there. Daddy didn't notice Trump even existed, unless Trump made self congratulatory noises. I think Trump confuses that self congratulatory yammering, with the assumption that he is speaking the minds of those he's talking to and "making" others notice and love him.

(5,815 posts)Dictator-Wannabee. No slight, insult or jab is ever left to wither and fade away. No! He gathers them up in his gunny sack of sorrow to carry around like treasure to pull out and relive again and again. Instead of hearing the criticism and considering if it has merit (and much of the criticism he has received in his life is right on target), he rejects it, considers it an insult and the persons name goes on his sh*t list for life. He is everything we dont want in a leader and he lacks everything we do want in our leaders.

(9,897 posts)Trump is the classic insecure bully. He cannot enjoy anything in his life because he lives in constant terror of being exposed for exactly what he is - an idiot with no self-esteem than must rage and scream at the wind to appear "strong".
He is weak.
He is stupid.
He is insecure.
He is worthless to humanity.
He is pathetic.
The sooner he dies, the better off the planet and the species Homo Sapiens will be...

(5,210 posts)public servants DO NOT GO PUBLIC with their criticisms like this, as a rule. This poor man has obviously reached his last fuck to give.
You know it's bad when it's gotten to that point.

(2,762 posts)He thought he had better motives than he had and thought he was a better person than he was. At least that was my take.
When push came to shove though, he refused all Cheney's pressure to pardon Scooter Libby. So in that way Brennan isn't completely wrong.
