9. I just bought a bike...

nothing fancy. I will use it for quick runs to the store..nothing too much. I bought to lose weight. I have a friend whose husband lost 75lbs all he did was ride his bike. I don't have nearly that much to lose, but I love being outside and hate rigid workouts--though I like my kettle bell--and thought a bike might be perfect.

If it ever gets below a thousand degrees I may be able to ride it.

11. A guy I went to high school was killed while riding his bike last week

On Thursday afternoon a car hit him, and he hit the windshield and died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. It haunts me to think of it, and I hope he never knew what hit him. Was the driver on the phone? My friend was apparently riding on the right shoulder. People, please watch out for cyclists!
