Trump attack unleashes oppo against Mueller

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/28/trump-mueller-russia-probe-488695

When President Donald Trump lashed out against Robert Mueller by name earlier this month, the president’s supporters sprang into action—treating the chief Russia investigator to political campaign-style opposition research.

Within hours, the Drudge Report featured a story blaming Mueller, the special counsel leading the Justice Department’s Russia probe, for the FBI’s clumsy investigation into the 2001 anthrax attacks when Mueller ran the bureau. The independent pro-Trump journalist Sara Carter posted a story charging that Mueller, as a federal prosecutor in Boston in the mid-1980s, had covered up the FBI’s dealings with the Mafia informant Whitey Bulger. Carter was soon discussing her findings in prime time with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Meanwhile, Trump supporters on Twitter circulated video of testimony Mueller gave to Congress ahead of the 2003 Iraq War in which he endorsed the view, later proven false, that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.

To some, the barrage looked coordinated among pro-Trump allies and media outlets, a concerted effort to tarnish Mueller’s reputation as part of a political strategy to undermine, or even eventually fire, the Russia investigator.

The un-American bastards. It won't work.

5. Given enough time, the Right-Wing Attack Machine has shown it can tear down anyone or anything...

Just as they did with a very popular Healthcare bill, which began as a very popular initiative but slowly saw its popularity decrease into the negative numbers.

The same with Hillary Clinton when she decided to run for President. As a former Secretary of State and First Lady, her popularity was somewhere between 65-70% in the polls in the beginning. By the time of the election, her unpopularity was lower than Donald Trump's.

So, they are very effective if given the time.

Yes - they have even thrown their "god" Raygun, under the bus just to make some point "opposite" of what a Democrat might say or propose.

A coordinated attack, in multiple media formats that attempt to attack Mueller’s integrity and FBI operations?

Sounds like psyops media blitz like we saw in the last election.

Intelligence operators and law enforcement are only going to take so much and you should piss off people that lift every rock, pull back every curtain and look in every closet and likely already have at this point.

Can’t imagine what trump’s end game is here but it seems unlikely to work out in his favor and hopefully he doesn’t take us and the rest of the world down with him (I go we all go!! WWIII here we come)

Mueller was confirmed and took the position September 4, 2001. One week later was 9/11. Two weeks later you had the anthrax attacks.

goes to show how squeaky clean this guy is.

Mueller kept informant deals a secret? How shocking. He believed the Republican bluster about WMDs? Wow, hang him by his toes. At any rate, Hannity’s audience still believed banned weapons were found, so I don’t know who this is supposed to be for. We aren’t buying it.

Trump is a traitor. A monster and we must fight this bastard until he is gone.
