52 senators have an A-minus NRA rating or higher including four Democrats

One of the ways that the National Rifle Association exerts influence over elected officials is by giving them letter-grade ratings on gun issues. It’s a shorthand for gun-rights voters in the way that the D or R next to a politicians name is a shorthand for voters in general. If a candidate has an A grade, it’s a stamp of approval from the nation’s preeminent gun advocacy organization. An F grade is no less a badge of honor: Democrats given the NRA’s lowest rating often trumpet that fact when making campaign pitches to their base.

Important note - 40 out of the 49 Democrats have an F rating from the NRA.

I believe Casey has actually moved to the left of Sanders on the issue of gun control.

“I don’t think new gun laws are going to change us,” Casey recalled Wednesday of his initial reaction to the massacre of 20 children and six educators.

By the time that weekend ended 3½ years ago, as Christmas approached and his wife and daughters accosted him over his views, Casey had a conversion. Casey has since embraced every major proposal to counter gun violence, including a renewed ban on assault weapons and enhanced background checks before gun purchases. On Monday, Casey was back in Pittsburgh to unveil legislation in the wake of the massacre of 49 people inside a nightclub popular with Orlando’s gay community that would forbid those convicted of a hate crime from purchasing weapons.

I simply don't understand those particular ratings. As far as the Republicans go, I wouldn't disagree.

wondered if the NRA might be helping Sanders out just a bit. I felt the rating was questionable, but my comparison is to the large majority of Democratic senators the NRA honored with solid Fs.

WE the people should give the only rating that matter !!!!

Get all the politicians out whom have taken money from the NRA and have given their devotion to some crazy NRA rating.

Say BYE, to them in November!!!!

15. Both of my senators earned above an F from the NRA.

One was ranked B and the other D.

There is no way I'd want to kick them out of Congress because of some arbitrary rating from the NRA.
