brag about how connected they are, how they are sounding boards and unofficial "advisors" to the POTUS. To prove their access, they tell reporters--or sometimes just other people who then tell reporters--what the president has said to them.

Trump himself and his big, bragging mouth is the source of most of the leaks. Just as he bragged to the Russians in the Oval Office about what excellent intelligence he has access to--and to prove it leaked super sensitive intelligence to them--he also leaks to his "friends" that he calls all the time to vent at.

Probably he was bragging about how he was warned "bigly" not to do something, but he did it anyway because he is the g-d POTUS, and how dare they tell him what he can and cannot do.

I don't think if Trump had just been blabbing on the phone about it that the media would have had a copy of the actual memo.

I think McMaster is pissed about rumours of his demise and Tillerson being summarily fired and this is his last little f you to Trump before he quits.

Didn't Tillerson, Mattis and Mnuchin have a "suicide pact" so that if any of them was fired the other two would quit?
