McCABE Not Going Quietly: "This is part of an effort to discredit me as a witness."

In an interview, Mr. McCabe was blunt.
“The idea that I was dishonest is just wrong,” he said, adding, “This is part of an effort to discredit me as a witness.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/16/us/politics/andrew-mccabe-fbi-fired.html

A significant statement from Andrew McCabe.

"Actually served his country" for 22 years. This is nickels and dimes in the bigger financial picture, but this is how Il Douche rolls. He thinks he is punishing McCabe and what he has done is recruited another oppositional and enthusiastic witness for Mueller. And when he fires Mueller, he will seal his fate for a long, long time.

Shit, hours before his retirement vests! I suspect he is eligible for reduced benefits but he may have to "buy some time" or wait until he is older.

But really, Trump is like a cartoon villain and Sessions is worse for not resigning instead. Wray is also a prick for not standing up for him.

All Trump, Sessions, et al did was ensure McCabe would speak out. He undoubtedly will be a guest on all the Sunday shows plus cable. I'm guessing Mueller will add this to the impressive amount of obstruction of justice he's already compiled against Trump.

The pettiness of taking the guy's pension isn't going to play well with most Americans, I suspect.

As for the IG, having worked in the federal gov't, I have seen them investigate things with a predetermined outcome in mind. I don't really put much stock in the conventional wisdom that IGs are independent and unbiased.

WE knew Trump was one evil sonofabitch but this rips it. Could have held off two days, let McCabe retire with a pension, but, no Trump had to show us how tough he is. Instead, he has shown us only how evil, vindictive, cruel, and stupid he is.

I hope McCabe lands on his feet. He's an attorney with an excellent reputation. Look for a big-name DC law firm to pick him up as a partner, pay him few million a year. The real justice would be if, as an attorney, he represents a client who cleans out Trump!!!
