In an interview, Mr. McCabe was blunt. The idea that I was dishonest is just wrong, he said, adding, This is part of an effort to discredit me as a witness.

We need to get behind him. Hes been fired because he knows something big. They couldnt bully him into lying. So now Trump is doing what he does best... retaliating.

(21,744 posts)"Actually served his country" for 22 years. This is nickels and dimes in the bigger financial picture, but this is how Il Douche rolls. He thinks he is punishing McCabe and what he has done is recruited another oppositional and enthusiastic witness for Mueller. And when he fires Mueller, he will seal his fate for a long, long time.

But really, Trump is like a cartoon villain and Sessions is worse for not resigning instead. Wray is also a prick for not standing up for him.

(15,286 posts)All Trump, Sessions, et al did was ensure McCabe would speak out. He undoubtedly will be a guest on all the Sunday shows plus cable. I'm guessing Mueller will add this to the impressive amount of obstruction of justice he's already compiled against Trump.
The pettiness of taking the guy's pension isn't going to play well with most Americans, I suspect.
As for the IG, having worked in the federal gov't, I have seen them investigate things with a predetermined outcome in mind. I don't really put much stock in the conventional wisdom that IGs are independent and unbiased.

(347 posts)WE knew Trump was one evil sonofabitch but this rips it. Could have held off two days, let McCabe retire with a pension, but, no Trump had to show us how tough he is. Instead, he has shown us only how evil, vindictive, cruel, and stupid he is.
I hope McCabe lands on his feet. He's an attorney with an excellent reputation. Look for a big-name DC law firm to pick him up as a partner, pay him few million a year. The real justice would be if, as an attorney, he represents a client who cleans out Trump!!!
Enoki33
(1,587 posts)political vendetta heaped on him long enough to warn us of the political purges sweeping through the justice system. It is a vital wake up call all must heed. That said, what was done to McCabe by dotard could only be conceived by a sadist criminal.

(1,103 posts)who keeps on doing dirt daily to this country. All the more reason for Dems and all decent people to really fight to win seats in office. When we rescue this country, we will have a president who will be able to rescind this thoroughly mean act and give the pension to this deserving man. Fake 45 is truly one rotten being. Fake 45 is doing himself in every day.

(68,582 posts)of Hillary..what he did was push back on an erroneous story the WSJ was about to run which was not favorable to the FBI and not true...the Dumb Ass Trump thinks if he makes it about Hillary, we will applaud this...just like with Comey..didn't work then and won't work now...regardless of how you feel about McCabe or Comey, we cannot allow a president to use Justice to exact revenge against his perceived enemies...it has to stop or we lose our Republic.
