McCabe has more than a few weeks of vacation time accrued so he can tack it on to the end of his tenure and pass his anniversary date in absentia, and this qualify for his maximum pension.

He's been showing some backbone lately against trump, and depriving a life-timer his pension at the last minute would create such an uproar neither of them would fare well in the public's eyes.

One of our lawyers can chime in, and i get the "at the pleasure of the president" thing. But, firing a guy 4 days before the prior announced retirement date sure would like retaliation and not cause, to a jury. Jurors are people too. Sheer revenge is also pretty easy to spot.

The unions and the democrats can make a field of hay out of this. An example of what the GOP is doing to the blue collar lower middle class workers. And when we get control of the congress, we can re-instate his pension as well. Bury it in just about anything the president wants, or has to sign.

Second, that whole election was a mess, thanks to James Comey.

Third, it sounds like he did something wrong to Hillary. But this will be spun as Hillary's defender paying for his actions. Kind of like Comey was officially fired for screwing Hillary but it was seen on the right as him being fired for protecting her.

McCabe's transgression doesn't warrant that type of punishment. You know that trump is pushing for it, though, and the evil elf probably wants to ingratiate himself to his hero.

The older ones clearly know about putting in your 20 or 30 years at a company so you can have a retirement party and collect on the pension you EARNED. I think even they would find it reprehensible of tRump to order a man fired four days before he is eligible to collect his pension. If this happens, ads explaining what happened and who ordered it need to be run on as many channels as will run them. Make it simple and easy to understand. tRump ordered a crappy thing be done to punish someone he did not like. He is planning to make an example of McCabe, in case anyone has any doubts about the kind of twisted man tRump is.

Retaliation?

Has there been a pattern of harassment? I understand that there is serving at the "pleasure of the President," but wouldn't "just cause" still apply here?
