Porn star Stormy Daniels will go to court on July 12 in a bid to dissolve an agreement stopping her discussing an affair she says she had with President Donald Trump, according to court papers published Wednesday.
Lawyer Michael Avenatti filed a lawsuit on behalf of Daniels last week seeking to toss out the confidential settlement she signed just days before the November 2016 election.
The lawsuit alleges that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, began an intimate relationship with Trump in the summer of 2006 that continued well into 2007.
She has offered to return the $130,000 she received so that she can be free to speak openly and freely about her prior relationship with the president and the attempts to silence her.

(18,837 posts)I read the bit about her seeking to release any "photos / videos / texts" and went "OH SHIT, don't need to see them."
Some older DUers will remember the photos Larry Flynt released of Hugh Hefner, taken in the 70s, with Playmate Karen Christy, who he referred to as his "Chicago Girl" (he was in a relationship with Barbi Benton on the West Coast at the time). Anyway, they were hardcore Polariods, and suffice it to say is that I could have probably gone the rest of my life without seeing Hef in the act.
Don't even want to think about any "visual evidence" Daniels might have.

(14,249 posts)This is not a big deal - it's just a case management conference to narrow the issues, discuss the possibility of settlement and set a discovery and trial schedule.
I have a feeling this will all be resolved long before then.
