I take four lessons from this morning's victory.

1. We don't need to fold like chairs in the face of gerrymandered districts.

2. There are a lot of smug, dim Republican incumbents counting on their district lines who can be vulnerable, BUT

3. We cannot put up any generic "I'm not Trump" in many of these places.

4. The DCCC and certain political celebrities should let LOCAL Democrats find the right fit for their districts (one reason I typically do not get involved in primaries).

Also , Tim Ryan should become speaker of the house to make it crystal clear the dem party will be once again the party of the working class americans. For once, bernie sanders was right when he said that dem candidates need to accept local deviations from national platform. It’s ok, you can be ‘personally’ against abortion, ‘personally’ moderate on guns, etc. But when it comes to votes in congress, the only thing that counts, they vote with democrats, especially when it comes to SC.
